G3 Enterprises has announced the installation of a new Nilpeter flexo press, specially designed to meet the ever-changing demands of wine label designs. G3 is a Modesto, CA-based label and packaging company specializing in the wine and spirits markets. 

Working with Nilpeter, G3 Enterprises was able to tailor the new press to meet its specific needs, designing the press to feature flexibility and print quality rivaling or exceeding that of offset printing. “The benefits this press provides us are tremendous,” says James Stone, G3’s new business development manager.

The advantages of the new press include auto side-to-side registration, increased pressure sensitive capacity and expanded print capabilities including flat foil and emboss tooling. “Flat tooling gives wine label designers more creative license while allowing for a broader range in stamping and embossing to meet the more challenging label designs which, in the past, required special equipment for detailing,” Stone says. The press also provides better printing, better color control and eliminates any concerns about ink and water balance for high-quality wine labels, he adds.
